Understanding the existing as a resource means starting from the assumption that what exists is a value to be respected in the case of nature, to be understood, interpreted and reused in the case of the built environment. This means avoiding demolition, avoiding erasing, and rather investigating traces and transforming through modifications of meaning, light and space.
