Conférence is a collection of essays from major international authors such as Zygmunt Bauman, Cesare Brandi, Bronislaw Geremek,  Salvatore Settis and Richard Sennet. The chapter “Notes sur Venise (III)” includes an essay by Sergio Pascolo proposing a meditation about the critical issues and opportunities offered by modernity for future cities. He proposes Venice as a model that should be re-evaluated and illustrates a project that may transform Marghera into a prototypical district based on a sustainable urban concept.
